My hobbies

Early Years:

I started out life as a water ski junky (a habit that lasted all the way through High School when we sold our boat). In fact, my formative years were spent on ski expeditions to the Colorado River. I could ski before I could ride a bike. I still like to water ski, but rarely get the chance. I also divided up my time putting together plastic models and playing board wargames (preferably WW II). I used to love ticking off my friends by crushing them (like the dogs they are). My apologies to any friends that read this document.

Modern Times:

I am a weather enthusiast. I track and follow severe storms in the midwest plains of the US each spring, and will hopfully be doing the same with tropical storms and hurricanes. My first tropical storm was Helene in the Florida panhandle during September, 2000. Additionally, I am a musician. Up until August, 2000, I played trumpet and French Horn for the Golden West International Symphonic Band in Huntington Beach, CA. Depending on my work schedule, I'll be searching for local groups to join up with. Also, I am also a Parrot Head....click here for more information.
Another "sport" that I am interested in is NASCAR racing. My favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt, but will wait awhile until I pick another favorite.
